Who are we ?
| The White Rose Organ Society meets fortnightly to enjoy organ music and
friendly company. Our hard-working committee ensures a full program of concerts,
dance nights, trips and parties. We play host to the best of both established and up-and-coming professional organists, and because our concert "season" lasts all year, we get to hear a great variety of top standard musicians. We also have members concerts throughout the year, when those brave enough to "have a go",entertain us in a relaxed atmosphere. The society meets in at Silkstone Lodge, in Silkstone, a village to the west of Barnsley. The venue has a large concert hall with a bar where, in addition to the excellent beers/wines/spirits (including beers from the Wentworth brewery which I can highly recommend), coffee and tea are available during the interval. This is really appreciated by many of our members, especially the drivers. Click here for a brief history of the society.
